The Jill Carroll hostage story

Here is a different take on it from David Paulin He says that the media using freelancers like her are taking advantage of newbies and putting them at risk.

Jill Carroll, the freelance journalist kidnapped in Baghdad nearly three months ago, was freed today. In the coming days, the mainstream media will thoroughly examine her capture and ordeal. But one thing will be left out: its own collective role in her kidnapping and the murder of her translator, thanks to policies revolving around its use -- and misuse -- of freelancers.
